Product Introduction
Emodin is an organic substance with the chemical formula C15H10O5. It is orange-yellow long needle-shaped crystal. It crystallizes in acetone as orange and in methanol as yellow. Its melting point is 256℃～257℃. It has a special reaction of anthraquinone. It is almost insoluble in water, but soluble in ethanol and alkaline solution.

Emodin is a natural compound extracted from Chinese herbal medicines such as rhubarb and knotweed. It has multiple pharmacological effects such as anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and anti-tumor. Rhein is mainly used as antifeedant, anti-inflammatory, anti-mutagenic, antiseptic, anti-cancer (chest), anti-ulcer, anti-viral, cathartic, gonadotropin, immunosuppressant, insecticide, laxative, antispasmodic, and hemostatic.
